I called Climate Makers because I needed to get my water heater looked at. I had called them a year prior for a different plumbing issue and they were quick and easy to work with. Kevin came to inspect my water heater and used the opportunity to educate me on my current water heater and all of my options for replacement. I never felt like he was trying to up-sell me on any products. He is clearly very knowledgeable and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the whole process. About a week later, once the new tankless water heater was ordered, Kevin came back to install it. He did a fantastic job and I have absolutely no complaints. He was kind and worked diligently to make sure everything was done well. I will definitely want him back in the future for any plumbing needs I have at my home. My only complaint was that I didn't love the experiences I had dealing with some of the office staff, but this would not stop me from calling Climate Makers again in the future.

I wouldn't let them install a window unit. Paid $18,400 for duct work and a new Carrier HVAC system and have only had three weeks of uninterrupted service. They have been here NINE times without fixing the problem. Contacted the BBB, Carrier A/C, and my next move is WCSC, Harve Jacobs. After the installation, it rained approximately one week later and the thermostat went black. An obvious electrical problem. Ran on AUX heat during the snow storm which increased my electric bill $150. My Mother with dementia and son with service related PTSD reside here so it's been a difficult situation to say the least. I work as a nurse on the night shift and my fellow employees must be tired of my complaining and the phone calls from home with the latest problem. Last issue is that the heat runs when the a/c is on. The General Manager says it could take an hour for the system to start cooling. RIGHT!! This system is under warranty and I think nine visits, two on one day, creates a lemon law situation. Heard about this company on the Dave Ramsey show, pure advertisement I assume. I've let the Dave Ramsey show know my experience with these people. I'm getting the runaround, and at this point and I'm asking for a new system or a refund. I don't know about anyone else, but $18,400 is quite a bit of money to pay for poor service and/or a defective product. SC does have a Consumer Law with this being a slam dunk case, but I can't have my Mother, Son, or animals exposed to the extreme temperatures we experience in the LowCountry while the case is litigated. I see many trucks with A/C logos on my travels to work, and I'm only sorry I had the misfortune of going with ClimateMakers and spending all my savings to upgrade my system for no system at all. Buyer Beware! Thanks to a great security system, I have actual audio/video of the technicians slamming the poor workmanship that was utilized during this install. The second technician that came stated he didn't know why a SALESMAN had installed my unit. Poor business practices from the time the contract was signed and ClimateMakers received their money from the finance company. Now, I must wait until the temperatures rise above freezing to turn the A/C on and undoubtedly, replicate the problem that poor wiring at install obviously caused the electrical system to malfunction. The GM states this happens 1 out of 100 times. Lucky me.

Replaced my old underpowered and outdated system for my house when I bought it. Outside units, attic unit and replaced the duct work in the crawl space, which absolutely need to be done. Worked through options with me and kept me informed every step of the way. Service techs for yearly maintenance are knowledgable, timely and friendly. I highly recommend ClimateMakers for Heat/Air services.

I have always found ClimateMakers to be fast, responsive and reasonably priced. This past week they exceeded my expectations. On 1/21/25 we had 7" of snow and ice in Mount Pleasant, SC. As the temperature was headed down to a low of 19ΒΊ, our primary HVAC unit decided to give up the ghost. I called ClimateMakers the morning after the storm. They were at my house within a few hours, and within a very few days they installed a brand new compressor and air handler. This was done during a severe (for South Carolina) cold snap and snow event. I have worked with other HVAC companies in the past, but no one is better than Climatemakers!

I have been working with Climate Makers since 2016. I have a contract with them to do maintenance every six months. They are a great company to work with. They show up on time. They are respectful and kind. They take the time to help me understand what they are doing and why. In a hot climate AC is critical. I never worry about it as the maintenance contract helps me stay ahead of issues. Recently Andrew and Josh helped troubleshoot an issue for me that was cost effective. Both technicians did a great job and created a comfort level that my system will work. Extra thanks to Josh for talking me through the best way to manage my thermostat for optimal use of my system. Highly recommend this company.
